NewCold boosts supply chain resilience in Poland with strategic expansion

Warsaw, Poland,  6 september 2024 – NewCold has completed the expansion of its automated warehouse in Kutno, Poland, doubling capacity to over 112,000 pallet positions to meet increased demand for cold storage in the country.

“We are excited to further contribute to Poland’s status as a major European food logistics hub with this strategic expansion. The additional capacity at Kutno allows us to meet the growing demand from our customers in Poland,” said Bram Hage, NewCold’s Founder and CEO. “And our global warehouse and transport network can help Polish food producers access new markets in Central Europe and beyond,” he added.

Kutno’s expanded footprint strengthens NewCold’s ability to offer high-level service to customers and reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation.

“NewCold continues to set a new standard in the food logistics sector. With the Kutno expansion, we are better able to accommodate high-volume customers across Poland in one location. And our highly automated systems and cutting-edge technology ensure optimal storage and transportation while minimizing energy consumption,” said Roberto Alessio, NewCold Vice President Business and Growth Central and Eastern Europe.

The Kutno facility leverages automation and renewable energy solutions — such as solar panels and electric trailers —  that add greater efficiency and sustainability to customers’ supply chains.

NewCold provides customers with the visibility, traceability, and scalability needed to meet today’s challenges and help them to future-proof a critical part of their value chain.

This latest expansion marks another significant step in NewCold’s global growth story. Since its founding in 2012, NewCold has continuously expanded its footprint and offering, with 18 mostly highly automated warehouses in ten countries on three continents.

NewCold’s growth in the region will continue with the go-live of a new state-of-the-art facility in Nowy Modlin, Poland, scheduled for Q1 2025.
